ObjCombineFix

For use with Photo-Paint 11, 12, and X3

VBA macro workaround to combine selected objects and prevent them from being cropped if they extend beyond the document area. For use with Photo-Paint 11, 12, and X3.

Note: Photo-Paint's built-in Object Combine command may vary in results between versions. ObjCombineFix should produce consistent results.

Setup

  • Extract the included GMS file to Photo-Paint's GMS folder on your computer. For Photo-Paint X3, this folder is typically located at C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Corel\Graphics13\User CorelPHOTO-PAINT\GMS. If you are having trouble locating the appropriate folder, my GMS Creator tool can help.
  • Start Photo-Paint and the macro will be available for use from the menu Tools, Visual Basic, Play.
  • If you are using Photo-Paint 12 or X3, you may want to assign the macro to a toolbar button or menu item.
    • Go to Tools, Options and in the Options dialog, navigate to Workspace, Customization, Commands.
    • In the drop-down list at the top, choose VBA Macros and then select the ObjCombineFix.ObjectCombine macro from the list.
    • Drag the macro from the list to a toolbar or menu and it will be available there for your use.

Usage

With two or more objects selected, run the macro to combine the objects without cropping areas that are outside of the document area.
