Journal

I thought I would try to express a little of the dullness that is my existence in the form of a journal. In other words, I wanted to share my boredom! Most recent entries are at the top. Keep an eye out for random updates.

P.S.

In association with Amazon.com, I've provided links to some items of interest. Sooner or later I'll work out a nice way to differentiate these links from other content. Any such links are referral links and I may earn a nominal credit of some sort if you buy something through one. You've been warned! Wait... that's a good thing. Okay, so I'm poor and I want to be able to buy more stuff.

Oops

09/22/2003

Wendy pointed out that my hit counter had been reset. Looks like I goofed the last time I updated the site... not a problem though. I should probably reset it each time I update. If nothing else, it would give me (and the world) a better idea of how many people visited since the last update... right... yeah... so... that's all there is to say about that.

Exciting title goes here

I got a random message on Yahoo the other day from this random girl named Wendy. She goes to my school so we might get to hang out or see each other around. I got to play alarm clock this morning and call her before her 8 am class. I think that means she owes me. Other than that, I've been busy with some programs and with school. I have to put together an annotated bibliography for a research paper and then there are tons of other things that I'm probably forgetting about... I also need to write some more poems. My poetry writing class has been a lot of fun but I have to keep thinking up weirder and weirder topics so that people will continue to think that I'm just plain odd. So far, it has been pretty cool reading everyone's work and it's been great getting to hear people's opinions on my stuff.

Boot to the head

I mentioned back in August that I've been using Knoppix which is a bootable cd-rom Linux distro. It would appear that the project has been pulled due to changes in European patent law. This is very unfortunate as the project really was pretty useful. Oh well, one less thing to be excited about.

Updated.

09/19/2003

I recently purchased a new computer so the previous offer of putting someone's name up in lights has been withdrawn. Sorry! I just bought a new APC UPS since the power has been flickering in and out lately and there's no way my existing power backup could support the load from the additional system. I was in the middle of setting it up and I thought it might be good to go ahead and upload the new material for the site. I've been slowly accumulating new material and it's probably been long enough between updates that I need to get something new up. I'm sure you're excited.

Anti-Poet

09/18/2003

I'm adding the poems that I've been writing for my poetry class into Strange Place Poems. I figure if they were bad enough to share with my class, they're good enough to share here. Okay, well... I needed something new to upload and they didn't put up much of a fight.

Wow... look at the time...

09/17/2003

Wow, I guess I've been busy. It's been a month since the last time I wrote anything in here. So... what has happened lately? I'm enjoying my poetry writing class, my other classes are going okay, I broke up with Stacy, I've been spending nearly all of my free time working on some programs, I haven't been getting enough sleep, and I think that's about it.
