AntiPoetics - Poetry - lunatic

lunatic

twisted tearing
gnawing at the mangled remains
my sanity sunshine surprise
my busted lightbulb leftovers
shattered in sparks and shards
a little flicker and then the pop
crushing diamonds in my footworn forelorn fantasy
a frightening feel for thoughts
twitching, shaking, shivering
inside the dying phantoms of this phase
drawing wider by the death in each pass
pulling at the threads that bind my lips
reflecting my own passive aggressive impasse
simply standing hanging on
while tearing apart the twisted crashing blue
erroding emotion and existence
constricting windows of glossed over emptiness
shutting out the light for the sake of the explosive white
