AntiPoetics - Poetry - Frost Bitten

Frost Bitten

Frost bitten buttons
Fingered numbly,
Coat carried weight
Weighing down my shoulders.
Freezing, freezing
In the blinding white,
Lips cracking as icebergs
Breaking free
Under the weight of my breath.
Crushing the individual crystals
Unique as each other,
Under the soles of my boots,
Flattened into conformity.
