Cobalt cosmos
Crossed at night
In the belly
Of an iron kite
Over the oceans
Of foreign domain
Across the scapes
Of alien terrain
Blistered shell
Emptied wide
Lost in confusion
Against the tide
In a river
Of human flesh
Belongings discarded
Impassive mesh
Now clear of wonder
And from the link
From the former lands
On the brink
Forever forgotten
And brushed away
The native soil
The dusty clay
