AntiPoetics - Poetry - Candy Coated

Candy Coated

Licorice tightrope
Across the sweet span
From here to nowhere.

Blood red sinew,
Taut, stretched tightly,
Stretching under the strain.

Forgetting fibers
In the splinter splitting,
Soft and delicate.

And you tell me
That it's not some
Candy coated charade.
